IMAGINE IF… YOU WERE BLIND YOUR WHOLE LIFE NEVER BEING ABLE TO SEE ANYTHING BUT DARKNESS!
IMAGINE IF…YOU WERE DEAF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE AND NEVER HEARD A SOUND!
IMAGINE IF…YOU WERE BORN WITH PHYSICAL OR MENTAL DEFECTS AND HAD TO LIVE YOUR WHOLE LIFE WITH THEM!
IMAGINE IF…YOU COULD NOT TASTE ANYTHING!
IMAGINE IF…YOU HAD ONLY ONE PAIR OF CLOTHES TO WEAR OR EVEN NONE ON YOUR BACK!
IMAGINE IF…YOU DID NOT HAVE FREEDOM AS WE HAVE IN AMERICA!
IMAGINE IF…YOU HAD NO ROOF OVER YOUR HEAD!
IMAGINE IF…YOU HAD LITTLE OR NO MONEY FOR NEEDS AND FOR PLEASURE!
IMAGINE IF…YOU WERE NOT GIVEN LIFE!
Life is so precious. You have all that you have because there is a GOD who loves you very much, and he has created you (Genesis 1:26-27) and given you these wonderful blessings and he desires that you would trust in him and worship him. Sadly, many do not have all these blessings. That is because of sin. Because of sin, we have suffering, pain, trouble, and death (Romans 6:23). Sin is what separates us from God. Thankfully, God sent Jesus Christ into this world to save us from our sin. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God is saying that anybody can be saved. God loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you! I want you to know that when you die, you will take NOTHING with you. Therefore, I want to compare things of this world to what you can have in Christ. I will be using verses from God’s word, the Bible. What does the world have to offer? The following may change your answer:
IN THE WORLD, YOU CAN HAVE NO ASSURANCE OF WHERE YOU WILL GO WHEN YOU DIE.......OR WITH CHRIST YOU CAN KNOW THAT YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE IN HEAVEN! (JOHN 3:16, 1 John 5:11-13, JOHN 10:28-29)
IN THE WORLD, YOU CAN HAVE NOBODY TO COMFORT YOU OR PROVIDE FOR YOU.......OR WITH CHRIST YOU CAN KNOW THAT GOD IS YOUR REFUGE AND ALWAYS THERE TO COMFORT AND TO PROVIDE (Psalm 46:1). HE WILL SUPPLY ALL YOUR NEEDS (Phillipians 4:19), AND YOU CAN KNOW THAT ALL THINGS WILL WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD. (Romans 8:28)
IN THE WORLD, YOU CAN HAVE ALL THE WORLD’S THINGS AND PLEASURES WHICH ARE TEMPORAL.......OR WITH CHRIST YOU CAN HAVE THE THINGS OF CHRIST AND HIS WORD WHICH ARE ETERNAL AND FOREVER (2 Corinthians 4:18, 1 Timothy 6:7, Psalm 49:17). ONLY ONE LIFE WILL SOON BE PAST, ONLY WHAT IS DONE FOR CHRIST WILL LAST!
IN THE WORLD, WHEN SOMEBODY DIES, YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THEY ARE.......OR WITH CHRIST YOU CAN KNOW WHERE THEY ARE FOR HE/SHE WOULD BE IN HEAVEN IF THE PERSON TRUSTED JESUS AS THEIR SAVIOR. (JOHN 11:25-26, JOHN 14:2-3, Psalm 116:15)
IN THIS WORLD, YOU CANNOT HAVE CONTENTMENT ALWAYS.......OR WITH CHRIST YOU CAN BE CONTENT WHATSOEVER STATE YOU ARE IN (PHILLIPIANS 4:11, 1 TIMOTHY 6:8, Matthew 11:28-30)
IN THIS WORLD, THERE IS NO MAN, NO RELIGION, NO CHURCH, NO WORK, AND NO THING THAT CAN SAVE YOU FROM SIN.......ONLY JESUS CHRIST CAN SAVE YOU FROM SIN BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH IN HIM ALONE, NOTHING ELSE (EPHESIANS 2:8-9)! FOR HE WENT TO THE CROSS FOR YOU! HE SHED HIS BLOOD FOR YOU! HE WAS BEATEN AND WOUNDED FOR YOU! HIS HANDS, FEET AND SIDE WERE PIERCED FOR YOU! HE DIED ON THAT CROSS OF SHAME FOR HE LOVED YOU SO MUCH! HE WAS BURIED AND ROSE AGAIN THE THIRD DAY THAT WE COULD LIVE (JOHN 17:1-JOHN 20:31). JESUS IS THE JOY OF LIVING. HE ALONE IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE AND THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO HEAVEN BUT BY HIM (JOHN 14:6). SALVATION IS BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST ALONE (EPHESIANS 2:8-9).
Has what you read changed what you think about life, the world, and who God is? I hope so! All comforts and blessings and all peace and joy come from knowing Christ as your personal Savior from sin. God’s word, the Bible gives us so many of these things as you have read. My friend, you can be saved today if you will only believe. Why not trust Jesus today? Without Christ, you have nothing, though it may appear you have all you need (Proverbs 14:12 & 16:25, Galatians 6:3, Matthew 7:22-23, Proverbs 13:7, John 3:27.). Trust Christ before it is eternally too late (Hebrews 2:3)! You will die someday (Ecclesiastes 9:5-6)! It is as easy as A-B-C to be saved. With all your heart, sincerely Admit you’re a sinner, Believe in Jesus Christ, and Confess your sins to him. That is all there is to it. You could say something like, “God be merciful to me a sinner. I know I am deserving of hell. Come into my heart and save me. I want to start living my life for you. Thank You Lord for saving me. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN!”, with the sincere conviction of your sin and the desire to repent and be saved. Once you are saved, you should have a desire to give up all your past sins and start a new life of doing what pleases God (II Corinthians 5:17). You should get a King James Bible, study it daily, and pray to God often. Also, start attending an “old fashioned” Bible believing church. My friend, after all this, ONLY IMAGINE life without Jesus Christ!
