Yu Yu Hakusho What You Must Know About Yu Yu Hakusho
I Encourage All to Read This!

My friend, there is some very important things you need to know about Yu Yu Hakusho. The basis of this story roots back to many years of Asian Mythology and Folklore. In much of both Chinese and Japanese mythology, the world is divided into the living and the spirit world (occult oriented). The world of Yu Yu Hakusho has characters that represent both worlds. The story is mainly about the clash between these two worlds. Yu Yu Hakusho portrays supernatural, occultic, new-age powers and symbols which are extremely demonic and very dangerous to the minds of young children. What may seem like a childish game is actually a dangerous tool of Satan (the devil) who is the one behind this phenomenon. Let me describe to you the characters in this story and their backgrounds:

Yuusuke Urameshi - The main male character; 14 years old; died and was revived by spiritual agents (a resurrection! - Very evil and blasphemous. Our Savior Jesus Christ is the only one who rose from the dead); Is a psychic detective in the living world to investigate the demon world.

Kazuma Kuwabara - Male; 14 years old; Tried to bring Yuusuke Urameshi back to life; joined him as psychic detective.

Botan - Female; equivalent of “death” in western culture; responsible for guiding the dead to the Spirit world! (occult oriented)

Kurama - Male; Was Minami, Shuichi (youko) in a previous life; Called Spirit Fox; Reincarnated as a human to hide from the demon world! Reincarnation is a false and unbiblical teaching (Heb. 9:27 - And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this, the judgment:).

Hiei - Male; Native of the demon world; Joined Yuusuke.

My friend, after just this much, I hope you can see the danger behind all this. Yu Yu Hakusho has captured the minds of many. It consists of a popular collector card game, video games, cartoon shows on TV, movies, and more. It beckons the young spectator to enter the manipulative and wicked realm of role-play. The so-called fantasy world of Yu Yu Hakusho has already conditioned many children to be receptive to occult powers. Yu Yu Hakusho promotes occult values, not Biblical. It conditions them to accept occult spirituality. Yu Yu Hakusho is almost equal to occult-oriented games such as Yu-Gi-Oh, Dungeons and Dragons and Magic the Gathering. God has designed that a child’s young mind and character are to be developed by the principles of His Word (Eph. 6:4). Satan loves using Yu Yu Hakusho and more to possess the minds of Children. Satan is getting the upper hand because people are oblivious to the tactics Satan is using to pollute our minds. Satan, through his human helpers, uses subtle, deceptive methods to advance his evil doctrines. So, how can we protect ourselves from this? We must measure Yu Yu Hakusho paraphernalia by the principles of the Bible. What does the Bible (God’s word) say about Yu Yu Hakusho? This tract is written from a Biblical perspective. God's Word does have quite a bit to say about Yu Yu Hakusho:

(Remember, These are not my words, these are GOD’S)

Leviticus 20:6-7 - "And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people. Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God" Do these things relate to Yu Yu Hakusho?

1 Thessalonians 5:21-22 - "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil." Yu Yu Hakusho certainly has an appearance of evil.

1 Corinthians 10:31 - "…Whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." Can you use Yu Yu Hakusho for the glory of God? Will it honor him?

Ephesians 5:11 - "…Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."

Romans 12:9 - "...Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good."

Philippians 4:8 - "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." These are where are thoughts and actions should be directed.

These are only a few scriptures that refute it. If you know the Lord as Savior, Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches us to trust in God alone and seek His will in our lives and pray about it. Ask God if Yu Yu Hakusho should be in your life and the Holy Spirit will lead you to do what is right (John 16:7-13). If you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior from sin and hell, now is the time to trust Him. Did you know that Jesus shed his blood for YOU and was beaten and wounded for YOU? His hands, feet, and side were pierced for YOU! He died on that cross of shame for he loved YOU so much! He was buried and rose again that ALL who trust in him could live (John 17:1 to 20:31). Jesus is the joy of living. Without him we are nothing. Trust Christ before it is eternally too late (Hebrews 2:3). You will die someday. Where will you be? He is at your heart’s door knocking this moment. Will you let him in? Your time on earth is short, but your decision for Christ lasts for eternity. Why not pray and ask Him to save you today (II Corinthians 6:2).
